Who wants a piece of Mango Bravo?
Guess where this cake is from?
YEAH!!! You are so right! This gigantic towering cake is called Mango Bravo and you can only find it from a place that serves the most delicious pastries and other culinary treasures - CONTI'S!
This is the restaurant that popped in my head when I went to Manila to visit my friend. Since I've been hearing positive feedback from a lot of people about this cake, I decided I wanna give it a try. I was so happy to find out that it was really amazing! (It was also extra special because it was free - this was my friend's treat)
Too bad I was stuffed at that time so I was not able to try the steak and pasta. I also want to try the other cakes like the Mocha Torte and Black Velvet. I really love cakes and that's the reason why I am putting on extra pounds lately. Over indulging myself with good food is almost like a sin to me! Don't worry, I've been busy doing crunches and other exercises these past few days (that is to prepare for my next food trip and Christmas where we get to eat more food!)
I will definitely visit Conti's next time and my next order would be baked salmon and tofu steak... YUM YUM YUM!!!

ZONG!
Have you heard of this restaurant? The first time I saw this on Eton Centris, it kinda sound like hitting a gong or something. My friend told me they serve Singaporean food. Since I miss the stuff that I eat in Singapore, I immediately agreed to check out the place...
The ambiance was good, a nice place to have a chit chat and picture taking with family and friends. We ordered something called Hotpot of Eggplant, Chicken in Salted Egg Yolk, Deep Fried Salt and Pepper Pork Ribs and Yang Chow fried rice.
I was with my friend and her hubby (special mention to the sponsor of the food, thank you so much!) and that means it was just the three of us... Well, we didn't have a hard time eating because we were so famished! Don't get me wrong, it's not that we don't like the food, but we were on a diet and we were not supposed to eat too much at night BUT... the food is hard to resist...
When you go there, don't forget to invite your 'food trip' buddies and order everything that you like to try! I bet everything in their menu is great and you will never regret eating there... Oh, and if you are around Quezon City, try to visit Zong at Eton Centris Walk at night. It's excellent at night because you will get to see gigantic color changing mushrooms. Don't forget your camera!

Food Review #1 ~ CALLE DOS (Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija)
It's a new restaurant Located at Melanio's building, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecjia. My brother described the food there as 'continental' - I almost agreed but when something is called 'continental' it only talks about dishes from various western European countries. Yes, Calle Dos has it in their menu but the food that is being served there is not only limited to that! They also have Asian food and mostly served with a 'twist'. Like for instance, they have all sorts of Maki flavors. The Maki is served the same way it is usually served in other restaurants but when you take a bite, you will discover a fusion of different flavors that is absolutely new to your taste buds!
We were actually there when the menu was being finalized because my brother and I were the official designers of Calle Dos. We were so honored because they trusted us and we did our best to make the graphic artworks look great. Anyway, back to the menu -- If you go there, you will notice that there are a lot of drinks to choose from. It's because they are originally a coffee shop and they eventually incorporated all sorts of delicious food in the menu. So when you decide to check it out, don't forget to order a frappe and pasta, cake and hot mocha, juice and pizza or whatever combination you wish, it will surely be a winner!
